Following a “targeted attack” at the Capital Gazette newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland, many on social media are pointing fingers at one particular person – and it’s not the shooter.
Milo Yiannopoulos is a widely-known figure in the Conservative movement. Some love him, some hate him. Either way, he’s clever, funny, and thought-provoking. Milo is also one of the most hated people in the Conservative movement, both within and not. His biggest opponents aren’t the typical college liberals, or even your neighborhood fat SJW feminist. His biggest opponents are journalists.
From the National Review, to the Daily Beast and the New York Observer, he doesn’t have many friends when it comes to the journalist media.
In fact, the latest stunt against him revolves around a comment he made a day earlier. Per an article he wrote:
I sent a troll about “vigilante death squads” as a private response to a few hostile journalists who were asking me for comment, basically as a way of saying, “F*** off.” They then published it. Amazed they were pretending to take my joke as a “threat,” I reposted these stories on Instagram to mock them – and to make it clear that I wasn’t being serious.
Needless to say, this is true. Milo sends these types of messages to anyone hostile who asks for comment. He even said so himself on the original post on Instagram. But if that’s not enough, per Fortune:
“I can’t wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight,” Yiannopoulos frequently writes via email or text message to reporters who contact him.
Within hours, articles were published on the Daily Beast and the New York Observer, claiming that Milo is now the cause of a shooting.
Even though it was a targeted attack and the shooter is known to have had previous interactions with the publication, per CNN:
“It appears that there has been some beef that he had, something that he believes that went wrong previously in an interaction with someone at that newspaper…either an editor or an executive at the newspaper.” CNN’s Evan Perez on the MD shooting suspect https://t.co/qc4cdlYlkr pic.twitter.com/vujHORGd0D

Milo also brings up a good point with the gross double standard the Left likes to pull here.
Per his article:
The Left celebrated the shooting of Scalise and regularly incites violence against Trump supporters. They are secretly delighted by the domestic terrorism of Antifa and they cheer on Maxine Waters when she threatens consequences for Trump administration staff going about their business in public.
Milo plans to go to court with this.
Good luck, Milo.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the victims of this horrific and senseless attack.
